What other Adventurers say about The Hammock Trail

We had a fantastic trip! If you are considering joining one of the trips, I would highly recommend doing so! For me, sleeping in a hammock was a new experience and it did not disappoint. It was clear that Hammock Haven has a lot of experience with hammocking and hiking because all the little details were very well designed. The hammocks were very comfortable and easy to set up, pack and carry. The guides were two brothers with a great sense of humour that managed to always keep a great atmosphere in the group, even on the day with a lot of rain. They were also very knowledgeable and willing to help when setting up our hammocks for the night. They even brought a set of birthday decorations because they noticed one of us would have a birthday during the trip! The route was both challenging and beginner friendly with great scenery. It was designed with some potential shortcuts, so on the rainy day we could cut a bit off our hiking day to get to the next campsite. You are advised to use trekking poles though, since some parts can be very slippery without them. The foodpacks were very well thought out and every meal was a pleasant surprise. I have been hiking for 7 years and never had such a tasty and diverse set of meals on my trips. An absolute must add-on!

An unforgettable trip! I went with the brothers to Sweden. I'd never hiked or slept in nature for several days before, so I was quite nervous because I didn't really know what to expect. But I had such a wonderful time. The brothers, along with all the clear information on the website, made sure I felt reassured and well-prepared for the trip. I went on the first trip, and everything was perfectly organized. The routes were easy for me as an athletic girl. The boys took everyone in the group and the weather into account. For example, on a very wet day, they shortened the route where possible. We saw beautiful nature and hiked some really cool trails. I opted for the food pack, and it was fantastic. Everything was well thought out: I ate delicious food every day and didn't have to worry about what to bring beforehand. Sleeping in a hammock was also a first for me, and I really enjoyed it. It feels special to hang your own bed between two trees after a few tries. I also thought it was really cool that the boys designed their own hammock gear. You can tell they know exactly what they're talking about and have thought everything through. I'll never forget the night I slept without a tarp: falling asleep under a clear, starry sky and waking up to the sunrise over the lake… so special. The atmosphere throughout the trip was cozy and often hilarious. Whenever we had a campfire, we'd cozy up around the fire in the evenings and play games. The boys even brought corn for popcorn and fairy lights for extra ambiance. It was my birthday during the trip, and they even brought flags to hang up. So thoughtful! In short: this is an experience you don't want to miss. Everything is incredibly well-organized, and even if you've never done this before, it's a great opportunity to experience this adventure!
